A definitive solution for vehicle monitoring thus must have met more requirements than just the localization, traveled route, electronic vehicle log book or simple record of most common technical parameters. If needed, a semi-trailer is also identified and the temperature in the cargo space of refrigerator trucks is monitored regularly. Drivers open the cargo space in allowed places only. There are no unnecessary openings of doors and if an exception occurs, the owner is immediately notified via SMS, e-mail or directly in the office through a warning in the system. The owner has detailed knowledge of the amount of milk being tanked or of drawing. Milk transport within the republic has become absolutely controllable and transparent. Motion and management of all transports has indicated hidden reserves and the fleet administrator is aware of the real performance of drivers and the total transport load factor. The implementation of graphic terminals has made overall communication more effective and costs, particularly for roaming, have been significantly reduced precisely thanks to GPRS data transmissions as the company pays for the volume of really transmitted data only.
