Technologies used in monitoring

In the course of 14 years, the monitoring of consumption has undergone a gradual development and several changes. We thoroughly investigated several technologies of fuel measuring:

• Radar measuring – can be used in tanks several meters deep, and the accuracy decreases with a shrinking depth.
• Sono ultrasound measuring - is very sensitive to direction and precise detection of the surface. Any floating object reflects sound in all directions. Stabilization of measuring is very cost-intensive.
• Strain gauge measuring of a hydrostatic pressure – the accuracy of measuring is influenced by many factors such as type of fuel, changing temperature of a closed tank, inability to provide ventilation of a tank during operation and other factors that cause deviation from the exact values.

Through a progressive research we began to use measuring with the electromagnetic level gauge. This principle of fuel measuring has a high reliability and accuracy. The development and test centre of the truck manufacturer TATRA a.s. Kopřivnice also participated in its development.

For a detailed and accurate data record, the system for vehicles and machines monitoring of our solutions uses control units installed in vehicles and machines. The record of the vehicle location is carried out by locating the vehicle from GPS satellites and is secured by a receiver with GPS antenna located in the vehicle. The interval of recording the positions is adjustable in the system.

The main assets of our solutions is optimizing the operating costs, which cannot exist without a subsequent evaluation of the route or other important positions in terms of the record about the vehicle operation (standing, fueling points, loading, unloading...) – GPS record allows all this.

GPS is now used in many devices for searching routes for drivers, map data, position locating and is useful for any transportation industry as well as comprehensive monitoring of fleets and machinery from GX SOLUTIONS, a.s.
 

GX SOLUTIONS, a.s. focuses primarily on cost saving and an integral part is also the way of internet connection in GSM mobile network and subsequent data transfer. Therefore, you do not pay for the time of connection, but the amount of data transferred which the customer selects individually as needed.

Data about the operation of the vehicle are transferred to PC via GSM / GPRS network. The data are stored, then evaluated and serve as a basis for effective management of the fleet and machinery. Control and setting as well as processing of acquired data are provided by the software and server application. The control unit allows informing the dispatch center through SMS messages about the occurrence of suspected incidents. The report contains the current position with the type of alarm. The alarm SMS can be sent at fueling, suspected fuel drop, transition from the roaming to home network or in the activation and deactivation of any sensor. In each alarm it is possible to disable sending SMS messages when the ignition is switched off or in roaming and to send SMS with a text alert for alarm. GPRS allows continuous connection with the vehicle. The system allows you to set restrictions on loading data also from roaming, and because the connection is carried out through GPRS, it is more convenient and cheaper way of communication. You do not pay for phone nor voice and SMS services.

GX SOLUTIONS, a.s. also uses RFID technology - for contactless identification of drivers, trailers, containers, or other objects in the area. It allows identifying the location also outside the GPS signal – e.g. when monitoring movement of forklifts in the halls. The advantage of RFID technology is speeding up the process of receipt, handover, inventory of the product, elimination of errors of operation and clarification of recording, and also a great resistance of RFID chips against humidity and temperature.
